So, at my college, one of the dorms was having a contest. Each floor competed against eachother to have the scariest floor. Three of my friends were in the haunted dorm (Dressed up as Kadaj, the Bear Costume that I used for Geek.Kon, and just as herself respectfully). That left me and another friend, and she was dragging me along.

So we're waiting, and I tell her I am holding her hand/arm throughout the whole thing, and kept asking: Why am I here? Do we have to?
She says we do.

So we go through it, getting jumped at and such. I believe there was a Sweeny Todd at one point, and people hanging. Wet things hanging from the ceiling. Doors banging. Strob lights. People following after us. I'm screaming and shrieking and refuse to let go of my friend, which often left me crush against the wall a few times (remember this fact, it's important).
We laughed when we see Kadaj and the Bear and say hi in passing (My friend saw our other friend, but I didn't).

So...we've been following this one group of people throughout the whole thing, but at the last floor (Out of four) they leave since they've already gone through it...leaving me and my friend.

We start out...but then people are popping up from laying down, an my flight instinct takes over now that there isn't anyone in front of me. I start running and refuse to let go of my friend, which was probably a good thing. One of the poeple grabbed her to stop, and she was slipping, and I felt it when she was being held back, but I just kept going...which probably kept her from tripping and such. We get to the end of the hallway, and the guy is blocking the door. I push us to the wall, saying not to follow him since I think he is opening a dorm room and I've heard talk of someone trying to take you into their dorm room, but he's just opening the way out, and we go out. (Later, another of my friends tried to get me to go again, but I said no)

So, if you know me, you know I don't like scary things, so this is a big thing that I actually went through.

Well, I see I have a text message on my phone when I get back to my room, and I flip it open...only to find the screen odd colors and I can't read anything.
The alarm set is after my first class...and my actual alarm clock isn't reliable...
I start thinking I'm fucked (no other word).

So I see if I can call at all, and so I call home and such, and find out I can still click the buttons and it'll work, but I can't see anything. So, I could probably try to change the alarm by heart...but that'd be interesting since I don't exactly remember where things are.
Well...I wonder why my screen isn't working. I didn't get it wet since it was in my pocket...and then...aha moment.

I was squished against the wall a few times, and went against it many other times. My phone was in my pocket.
Phone against wall.
Wall wins.
The screen is messed up, which is how one of my old cameras stopped working, because I accidently hit the screen and it broke (which is how I came to this conclusion).

So...I faced my fear, but not have a phone that won't let me see anything.
FML...seriously.
Irony, I think, is in this situation.
(On the plus side, all my numbers are on my sim card, so I won't lose any of those.)

And to add to the irony...before I went, I thought about leaving my phone in my room and decided against it. I really should learn to listen to myself more often.
